Distinguishing Features

All City Prep schools will be a college-preparatory secondary school that uses technology to provide a challenging, personalized, and empowering learning experience that prepares students for success in the global marketplace.

• College-preparatory. City Prep standards exceed local graduation requirements. In addition to a high school diploma, our students will graduate with college credits, meaningful internships and community focused service experiences.
• Challenging. City Prep employs project-based learning in the classroom, the workplace and the community in order to equip our students with the habits of mind and real-world skills necessary to succeed in college and beyond.
• Individualized. Through a combination of on-line and traditional instruction, students participate in a differentiated curriculum that places a focus on the skills and content that they have yet to master and responds to their individual pace and learning style.
• Empowering. City Prep schools are organized around youth development principles. In academic classes, through service learning, and in a four-year Advisory program, students develop their individual sense of purpose, leadership abilities, self-efficacy skills and longer term vision that extends beyond secondary school.
