Core Student Experience

The City Prep “Blended instruction” is distinguished by four core student experiences:

• Foundation coursework: Facilitated on-line coursework and foundation classroom experiences (science experiments, literacy seminars, Socratic Method) are paired in all core content areas
• Project-based learning: Team and individually oriented project-based units that develop students’ 21st Century Skills through the investigation of inter-disciplinary essential questions
• Internships and service learning: Real-world application of skills and knowledge in professional environments and in the community
• Advanced coursework: Customized opportunities to pursue advanced coursework, including AP courses, college-level (credit-bearing) classes with partner Universities/Post-Secondary Institutions.
