Nirvani Budhram
Nirvani Budhram – Director, Schools Services of City Prep: Nirvani Budhram has been an executive on the national staff of Expeditionary Learning Schools Outward Bound (ELS) for the last 6 years. She has managed every aspect of Expeditionary Learning's operations as well as the organization’s data and quality assurance process to ensure programmatic and organizational growth. In addition to managing and implementing all of ELS’ technology initiatives, Nirvani has also developed and managed the strategic vision for program growth and implementation nationally. Previously she was a Vice President at Citigroup where she was in charge of several divisions during an acquisition. Prior to Citigroup, Nirvani was part of a collaborative team that founded the Grow Network, which provided schools with professional development and software for the integration of assessment data, standards, and instruction, prior to its acquisition by McGraw-Hill. In addition to her work at ELS and the Grow Network, Nirvani has a hands-on background in education. She began her career teaching high school English in a "hard to staff" district in East New York, Brooklyn. She received her BA from the Gallatin School at New York University and her MA from New York University. |
